Trump Threatens Iran as Tehran Sets Seven Nuclear Conditions
President Donald Trump threatened to destroy Iran while Tehran submitted a nuclear proposal via Qatar contingent on seven specific demands.
President Donald Trump warned that the United States may have to destroy the remainder of Iran, stating that such an action would necessitate a rebuilding process lasting 25 years. Trump indicated that the public would know soon enough if he decides to act and has declined to rule out the resumption of combat operations.
Simultaneously, Iran submitted a nuclear proposal to the United States through Qatari mediators. The proposal conditions further negotiations on the fulfillment of seven demands, including the lifting of U.S. sanctions, the release of frozen assets, war reparations, and a reduction of the U.S. military presence in the region. Other terms include an end to hostilities in Lebanon, the lifting of the naval blockade on Iranian ports, and a cessation of U.S. attacks on Iranian territory.
While the U.S. government is reviewing the proposal, Washington maintains that nuclear issues must be part of any initial negotiations. Iran's top security official, Mohsen Rezaei, stated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed and negotiations will not occur until the seven conditions are executed. These developments occur amid an active conflict involving strikes between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, as well as regional clashes involving Hezbollah and the Houthis.
