Ambassador-designate to Mexico Reno Omokri called for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, citing measurable gains in infrastructure, education, and security. During an interview with the City Boy Movement Podcast in Abuja, Omokri argued that Nigerians should prioritize policy consistency and continuity over political rhetoric.
Omokri highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as a critical intervention that has benefited over one million students. He also pointed to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway as essential projects designed to reduce travel costs and time for citizens.
Regarding the economy, Omokri stated that Nigeria's economy expanded by approximately 67 billion dollars over two years, noting a 4.43 percent GDP growth in the second quarter of 2026. He further asserted that the current administration has reduced high-profile terrorist attacks compared to the period before May 2023.
