Iran Warns US Against Seizing Kharg Island Oil Hub

The Iranian Foreign Ministry warned the United States of severe repercussions if it attempts a ground invasion of Kharg Island, a strategic hub handling approximately 90 percent of Iran's crude oil exports. The warnings follow reports that Donald Trump is reviewing a broader offensive campaign against Tehran, which could include the tactical seizure of the island and precision airstrikes on the Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility to dismantle Iran's economic and nuclear infrastructure.

President Trump indicated he would consider a ground campaign if it seems appropriate, suggesting that allied forces could potentially control strategic locations. In response, Iran has fortified Kharg Island with additional military personnel, air defense systems, and mines. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei asserted that the U.S. would face repercussions, stating that Iranian people are counting down the minutes to welcome American troops.
