Olagunsoye Oyinlola Urges Tinubu and Atiku to Skip 2027 Election

Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola stated that President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are too old to contest the 2027 presidential election. During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Oyinlola urged both politicians to step aside to allow younger Nigerians the opportunity to lead the country.

Oyinlola supported his position by recalling a declaration he made while serving as governor of Osun State. He argued that individuals over the age of 50 should not aspire to be state governors based on his own experience in office.
