Narendra Modi Chairs Chintan Shivir to Advance 2047 Vision

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is chairing a two-day Chintan Shivir conclave on September 23 and 24, 2026, at Seva Teerth in New Delhi. The session brings together the Union Council of Ministers of India to review ministerial achievements, evaluate ongoing work, and chart policy priorities for the remainder of the government's current term.

The conclave focuses on the Viksit Bharat@2047 agenda, aiming to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. This strategic review occurs as the government reaches the halfway mark of its term and manages external pressures on exports and energy security caused by conflict in West Asia. While the meeting takes place amid political speculation regarding a potential Cabinet reshuffle and upcoming assembly polls in five states, the government has provided no official confirmation of any personnel changes. The initiative integrates efforts from the Cabinet Secretariat and NITI Aayog, building on a consultative process that began in 2021.
