Israeli Settlers and Military Launch Coordinated West Bank Raids
Israeli settlers and military forces conducted widespread attacks and land seizures across the West Bank, resulting in numerous injuries and the abduction of Palestinians.
Israeli paramilitary settlers and military forces carried out a series of coordinated attacks across the occupied West Bank between July 3 and July 4, 2026. The violence spanned multiple regions, including Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jenin, and Nablus, resulting in at least 18 Palestinians wounded. Settlers targeted critical infrastructure, destroying a main electricity line in al-Maniya, vandalizing greenhouses in Tulkarm, and seizing the Ein Rawabi spring in northeast Jerusalem.
In the village of Jalud, settlers seized an unfinished two-story home belonging to Mohammad Salameh. While the Israeli military claimed soldiers acted to disperse a gathering at the site, Salameh reported that appeals for help went unanswered. Local officials noted that settlers have since moved within 100 meters of another resident's unfinished home, signaling further escalation.
Simultaneously, the Israeli military conducted raids in Qalqilya, Jayyus, and near Nablus, detaining multiple Palestinians. These actions coincided with an Israeli Security Cabinet decision to approve 13 new settlement outposts in the Binyamin Regional Council. On July 4, attacks intensified with the theft of livestock, the destruction of vehicles, and the abduction of several Palestinians and two international activists. These events occur amid a reported 130 percent surge in settler attacks since 2023, according to a United Nations inquiry, as the government of Benjamin Netanyahu continues to accelerate settlement expansion.
