Trump Reports Over $2.2 Billion Income From Crypto and Real Estate

President Donald Trump earned at least $2.2 billion in 2025, with over $1.4 billion coming from cryptocurrency ventures and meme coin royalties.

A 927-page financial disclosure released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on June 30, 2026, reveals that Donald Trump earned at least $2.2 billion during his first year back in office. More than half of this income, estimated between $1.2 billion and $1.4 billion, was derived from cryptocurrency ventures. Primary drivers included $635 million in royalties from the $TRUMP meme coin via CIC Digital LLC and approximately $500 million to $800 million from World Liberty Financial, a firm co-founded by the president and his sons.

Beyond digital assets, Trump generated significant revenue from traditional sources, including over $500 million from golf and resort properties—with Mar-a-Lago earning $77 million—and approximately $86 million from legal settlements with companies such as Meta, ABC, and CBS. The filing also detailed new international real estate licensing deals in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Qatar, and Vietnam, as well as over 21,000 stock market transactions in companies like Nvidia and Intel.

These revelations sparked ethics concerns and allegations of corruption. Critics highlighted a $500 million investment in World Liberty Financial by a UAE-linked firm that coincided with the administration granting the UAE access to restricted U.S. AI chips. Others noted $275 million in purchases by billionaire Justin Sun during a paused federal lawsuit. The White House and the Trump Organization rejected conflict-of-interest claims, asserting that assets are independently managed by third-party institutions and the president's sons. Trump dismissed the scrutiny, attributing his wealth to a rising stock market and stating that the U.S. must remain the crypto capital to prevent China from dominating the sector.
