President Donald Trump praised a violent physical altercation between a supporter and a protester during a campaign rally for Republican candidate Darline Graham at Clemson University in South Carolina on Wednesday. The event was marked by frequent disruptions, resulting in the removal of at least six protesters from the venue.
During the rally, Trump paused his speech to comment on a brawl occurring on the auditorium floor. He repeatedly asked who threw the punch and described the incident as "incredible" and "unbelievable," stating, "He got whacked!" While he acknowledged that it takes "courage" to protest at his rallies, he characterized the individuals as "paid protesters" and "serious losers."
Footage of the incident showed security officers removing a man in a blue T-shirt. Social media posts from supporters claimed a "MAGA MAN" had punched a "disruptive leftist."
