Iranian Parliament Speaker Warns U.S. Over Regional Security

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned United States officials during an open parliamentary session on Tuesday that regional infrastructure will not remain safe if the security of Iran is not guaranteed. Ghalibaf asserted that in a region where Iran is unable to sell oil, no other nation will be able to do so.
Ghalibaf dismissed U.S. claims regarding the Strait of Hormuz as baseless and declared that the era of American intimidation and threats against the Islamic Republic has ended. He stated that Iran would not retreat in the face of rhetoric or commercial blockades.
The speaker promised a "severe, swift, and precise" response to any act of adventurism or aggression against the country.
