Trump and Vance Campaign Across Key Midterm Battlegrounds
President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are conducting a multi-state campaign tour to support Republican candidates in Texas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, and Iowa.
Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are executing an intensive campaign schedule across several states to support Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections. The tour includes visits to traditionally Republican strongholds and critical battlegrounds, with Trump campaigning in Fort Myers, Florida, for gubernatorial nominee Byron Donalds on October 23, and traveling to Michigan on October 25 to support Senate nominee Mike Rogers.
In Michigan, the race for the U.S. Senate is viewed as crucial for chamber control. While Trump supports Rogers, former President Barack Obama is scheduled to campaign for Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed in Detroit on October 24 to launch in-person early voting. The administration has also focused on the Midwest, with Vance visiting North Platte, Nebraska, and Trump holding a rally in Sioux City, Iowa, following a previous stop in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Democratic leaders, including Douglas County Democratic Party Chair CJ King, suggest these visits to rural districts indicate GOP concern over polling and voter reliability due to fuel shortages and gasoline costs. Meanwhile, Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Lynn Walz has been campaigning in eastern Nebraska and Dakota County. The tour will continue with stops in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kansas, and Georgia, including a visit to Corpus Christi, Texas, on October 27 for Trump and a Thursday event at the Omni Hotel for Vance. Trump is scheduled to return to Iowa on November 1, two days before the election.
