Kashim Shettima Rallies Northern Leaders for Tinubu 2027 Bid

Vice President Kashim Shettima called on northern leaders and citizens to unite behind President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for the 2027 presidential election. During a meeting with the Arewa for Tinubu think tank on Monday, Shettima asserted that the northern region has nothing to fear from a second term, citing significant benefits in government appointments and infrastructure projects.

Shettima highlighted specific economic gains, noting that the Bank of Agriculture disbursed N450 billion to 700,000 smallholder farmers, with approximately 70 percent of those beneficiaries located in the north. He assured supporters that the president loves the north and will continue to work for the region's progress.

Leaders of the Arewa for Tinubu group, including Abubakar Badaru and Ibrahim Shekarau, pledged to mobilize grassroots support. Their strategy includes holding meetings with religious leaders and establishing a coordination secretariat to ensure a victory for the administration in 2027.
