National Compute Donates $100 Million to Genesis AI Mission
National Compute is donating $100 million in computing credits to the Trump administration to accelerate AI-driven scientific discovery through the Genesis mission.
National Compute plans to donate $100 million in computing credits to the Trump administration to support the Genesis mission. This government-wide initiative utilizes artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific discovery by providing researchers with advanced computing resources typically reserved for large AI laboratories.
The donation is expected to be announced Thursday during an event featuring Michael Kratsios, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director. The credits will allow government agencies and researchers to access high-level processing power necessary for complex AI applications.
As part of its broader strategy, National Compute is developing the National Compute Grid. This shared network is designed to pool computing capacity from various providers for use by government agencies, private companies, and researchers, operating on a model similar to a power grid or interstate highway system.
