During an interview with The Talk Show, Badenoch criticized Trump's leadership and his use of tariffs, his handling of the war in Iran, and his threats toward Canada and Greenland. She argued that his protectionist approach and "America first" rhetoric deviate from conservative values of free markets and trade.
Badenoch further condemned Trump's conduct toward journalists, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, asserting that his behavior fails to meet the standards expected of a world leader. She emphasized that the UK's special relationship is with the United States as a country rather than with Trump personally.
