Rabi’u Kwankwaso Endorses Catholic Bishops' Critique of Tinubu Government

Rabi’u Kwankwaso, the vice presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress and former governor of Kano State, publicly endorsed the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Nigeria following their meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. Kwankwaso praised the bishops for their courage and patriotism in confronting the federal government regarding unemployment, worsening insecurity, and the rising cost of living.

Kwankwaso rejected claims that the clerics' grievances were partisan, asserting that their concerns reflect the daily struggles of ordinary citizens. He called for the Tinubu administration to implement urgent, people-centered responses to address poor access to education and healthcare, as well as general economic hardship.

In his statement, Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to engage their leaders constructively to advocate for accountability and good governance, emphasizing that collective commitment and responsible leadership are necessary to build a more peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
