Byron Donalds Scrubs Trump References From Florida Campaign Site

Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds redesigned his campaign website to remove prominent references to President Donald Trump, shifting the site's focus toward affordability, insurance costs, and government transparency. The overhaul eliminated a homepage banner labeling Donalds a "TRUMP-ENDORSED Proven Conservative Fighter," a donation button urging supporters to "Chip in to Support Trump Endorsed Byron Donalds," and a photograph of Donalds and his wife with the president.

While the campaign maintains that Donalds remains proud of the endorsement, the "Trump Agenda" was replaced as a primary goal. Trump's name now appears only within a scrolling banner of endorsements alongside other figures such as Elon Musk and Mike Johnson. The changes occur approximately six weeks before the November 3 general election, coinciding with reports that Trump's approval rating has fallen to 29% due to rising fuel prices and voter frustration over the war in Iran.

Donalds, who previously voted against certifying the 2020 election results in Arizona and Pennsylvania, is now emphasizing an endorsement from Governor Ron DeSantis. He is running against Democratic nominee David Jolly, who has refused to debate Donalds. The campaign dismissed reports of the website shift as "FAKE NEWS," asserting the updates simply reflect a focus on issues that matter most to Floridians.
