US Air Force Deploys Air Defense Systems to Israel
The United States Air Force delivered air defense systems to Israel and other Middle Eastern allies amid preparations for a potential conflict with Iran.
Ten United States Air Force transport aircraft arrived at the Ovda and Nevatim air bases in southern Israel as part of a broader Middle East air convoy. The aircraft, which originated from Fort Bliss base in Texas, are believed to be transporting Patriot interceptor missiles and THAAD air defense systems to protect regional assets.
Donald Trump and the Israeli government are closely coordinating these efforts following warnings of a potential short, focused war with Iran. Similar shipments of defense equipment were delivered to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan to replenish regional stockpiles.
Israeli sources indicate that preparations are underway for further military escalations. These potential decisions include the deployment of a Marine unit and an additional U.S. naval aircraft carrier to the region.
