Wolf Blitzer Corrects Error on Mail-In Ballot Restrictions

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer clarified that military and overseas voters are exempt from mail-in ballot restrictions following a broadcast error.

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer issued a correction on Monday after falsely suggesting that U.S. military and overseas voters would be affected by a crackdown on mail-in voting. During a Friday episode of The Situation Room, Blitzer and Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger discussed a lawsuit filed by several states to block a March executive order issued by President Donald Trump to curb mail-in ballots.

Blitzer later clarified that ballots for military personnel and overseas voters are exempt from the new Postal Service rules. He noted that these specific groups are protected under the Uniformed and Overseas Absentee Voting Act.

Governor Spanberger characterized the administration's actions as an effort to make people fearful and eliminate secure ways for citizens to vote.
