Donald Trump's Global and Domestic Approval Ratings Plummet
Donald Trump faces a sharp decline in approval ratings both domestically and internationally according to recent surveys from Pew Research Center and American Research Group.
Recent polling indicates a widespread decline in confidence in Donald Trump and the United States across domestic and international spheres. An American Research Group survey conducted from June 16 to 20, 2026, placed the president's domestic approval rating at 30%, the lowest of his second term. The data shows 70% of Americans disapprove of his economic management, with optimism among his own supporters falling from 46% in February 2025 to 13%.
Internationally, a Pew Research Center survey of over 42,000 adults across 36 countries found a median of only 23% trust Trump to handle world affairs correctly. The study highlights significant disapproval regarding his approach to Gaza, Iran, the Russia-Ukraine war, and tariffs. General favorability toward the United States also deteriorated, with a median of 57% of adults holding an unfavorable view and a sharp drop in perceived reliability as a partner in Germany, Canada, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
In Israel, a Jewish People Policy Institute survey conducted in early June 2026 reveals that trust in Trump dropped to 12% from 34% in March. This decline coincides with 55% of Israelis viewing a nascent U.S.-Iran agreement negatively. While White House spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed these findings by citing the 2024 election victory, other national trackers place Trump's approval slightly higher, between 37% and 39%.
