Donald Trump Appoints Ben Moss as White House Staff Secretary

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that Ben Moss will serve as the next White House staff secretary starting September 2. Moss, a University of Chicago Law School graduate, previously served as the director of domestic policy and general counsel for the Vice President during his time as a senator from Ohio.

Moss replaces Will Scharf, who transitioned into the role of White House counsel. This appointment is part of a wider series of high-profile West Wing changes occurring before the November midterm elections, which include the departures of White House Counsel David Warrington and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

In his new capacity, Moss will be responsible for managing the flow of executive orders and documents presented to the president for signature. Trump praised Moss's previous performance as deputy staff secretary and policy director.
