TMTG Investors Lose $2.2 Billion as Share Prices Collapse
Trump Media & Technology Group investors lost over $2.2 billion due to falling share prices, flat revenues, and high cash burn.
Trump Media & Technology Group investors have lost more than $2.2 billion, according to a Reuters estimate. The financial decline resulted from a collapse in share prices fueled by flat revenues for the Truth Social platform, high cash burn, and poorly timed cryptocurrency investments.
While retail investors suffered significant losses, Donald Trump maintains a stake worth approximately $460 million. He acquired his 114.75 million shares without cash payment during a merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp. This downturn occurs alongside low approval ratings for the president and recent Democratic victories in the House and Senate.
TMTG disputed the Reuters methodology, calling the calculations "dubious" and "biased." The company stated it is focused on creating value for shareholders through a proposed merger with TAE Technologies, a nuclear fusion energy firm.
