Kogi and Osun Governors Endorse President Tinubu for 2027

Governors Ahmed Ododo and Ademola Adeleke have pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid, citing regional development and economic reforms.

Governors of Kogi and Osun states have announced their support for the 2027 re-election campaign of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The endorsements follow the President's landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary.

Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State described the re-election effort as a "personal project" to unlock the state's potential. He credited the President's approval of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, and an Agricultural Processing Zone as primary drivers for his support, while praising the administration's bold economic reforms.

Simultaneously, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State endorsed the President during an inspection of the Ibadan-Ile Ife-Ilesa Expressway. Adeleke stated that his support transcends party affiliation and reflects the collective interest of the Yoruba nation. He linked the endorsement to federal support for infrastructure projects in the South-West region. During the announcement, Adeleke also requested federal refunds for state-funded repairs on federal roads and pledged to ensure a fair conduct for the upcoming August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
