While campaigning in South Carolina for Darline Graham, who is seeking a Senate seat following the death of Lindsey Graham, Trump urged supporters to pretend he was on the ballot. This focus on personal image coincides with a period of declining approval ratings, with a Reuters-Ipsos Poll showing 33% total approval.

Beyond the campaign trail, Trump has launched a trade war against Canada and proposed renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America. He is scheduled to hold a mini-convention in Dallas on September 9 to celebrate his achievements.
