Baloch Groups Protest Pakistani Airstrikes in Europe and US

The Baloch National Movement and Baloch American Congress are demanding international investigations into Pakistani airstrikes that reportedly killed over 30 civilians in Surab.

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organized a series of protests across Europe on August 20 and 21, 2026, to condemn airstrikes conducted by the Pakistan Air Force in the Surab district of Balochistan. The BNM reports that the August 12 bombardment of residential areas in the Gidar region killed more than 30 civilians, including women and children, and caused significant property damage.

Demonstrations took place outside 10 Downing Street in London and in various locations across the Netherlands. BNM activists characterized the strikes as part of a pattern of using aerial power and drone strikes to terrorize the Baloch population and militarize the region. The organization called on the United Nations, the European Union, and international human rights bodies to conduct an independent, transparent investigation and grant international organizations access to the affected areas.

Simultaneously, the Baloch American Congress petitioned the United States government for intervention. President Tara Chand wrote to President Donald Trump requesting an investigation into whether US-origin aircraft, weapons, or technology were used in the operation. Chand urged the US administration to review military assistance to Pakistan if evidence shows that supplied equipment was misused against civilians.
