Zelensky Warns of Massive Russian Strike Preparations
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine received intelligence of an impending massive Russian strike and is coordinating countermeasures with international partners.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on October 6 that Ukraine has received updated intelligence indicating Russia is preparing a massive strike. In response, Zelensky held a coordination meeting with military leaders, government officials, and emergency services to implement countermeasures and logistical arrangements.
The Ukrainian government is prioritizing the distribution of air defense assets and securing ammunition for interceptor missiles and F-16 fighter jets. Zelensky identified the defense against ballistic missiles as the most significant supply challenge, noting that the availability of these supplies depends entirely on international partners.
These warnings follow a series of Russian attacks over the preceding 24 hours that targeted several hospitals in Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine responded to those strikes, which Zelensky cited as part of the ongoing aggression.
