Donald Trump Accuses Iran of Delaying Deal Negotiations
President Donald Trump claimed Iran is stalling negotiations while First Lady Melania Trump announced a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire.
President Donald Trump asserted during rallies in Texas that Iran is delaying negotiations for a deal with the United States, suggesting Tehran may be waiting for upcoming elections. He claimed that Iran has waged war against the U.S. since 1979 and stated that he alone would decide when the confrontation ends.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei rejected these claims, accusing Washington of reneging on its commitments. Baghaei specifically cited the 14-point Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, alleging that Trump viewed the agreement as a waste of time and demonstrated a contempt for diplomacy.
In separate developments, First Lady Melania Trump announced that a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine took effect on October 27, 2026. The agreement expanded beyond Oleshky in the Kherson Region to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Additionally, Trump expressed support for granting visas to Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro and his family. The move follows Bolsonaro's electoral defeat and a Brazilian Supreme Court order requiring him to surrender his passport.
