Eric Trump and Michael Dell Defend Susan Dell Against Trolling
Eric Trump and Michael Dell condemned online attacks targeting philanthropist Susan Dell's appearance following her White House visit to promote a $6.25 billion children's investment program.
Philanthropist Susan Dell became the target of social media mockery regarding her appearance, posture, and movements after appearing in the Oval Office on October 7. She and her husband, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, visited the White House to promote Trump Accounts, a program providing tax-advantaged investment accounts for children.
In December 2025, the couple pledged $6.25 billion through the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to provide $250 accounts for up to 25 million children ages 10 and under in ZIP codes with median household incomes below $150,000. Michael Dell reported that 10 million of these accounts have already been funded.
Both Michael Dell and Eric Trump responded to the online backlash on October 13. Eric Trump characterized the criticism as "vicious attacks" and "nonsense," arguing that the focus should remain on the donation, which he described as one of the largest private donations in American history. Michael Dell defended his wife by sharing thank-you letters from children and reposting messages from supporters praising the couple's philanthropy. Other commentators, including Mike Cernovich and Robby Starbuck, also condemned the trolling.
