Vandals Target Susan Collins Office Eve of Election Day
Unidentified individuals vandalized Senator Susan Collins' Biddeford office with red paint and messages on the eve of her reelection bid.
Unidentified individuals vandalized the Biddeford, Maine office of Susan Collins around 11 p.m. Monday, the eve of the 2026 midterm elections. Perpetrators dumped red paint on the sidewalk to resemble a pool of blood and wrote the phrase "blood on her hands" in crimson. Some paint splattered onto the front doors of the office at 160 Main St, though campaign staff reported that no one entered the building.
This incident is part of a series of attacks targeting the Republican senator, who is seeking a sixth term. The Biddeford office was previously targeted in September when the phrase "Trump whore" was spray-painted on the door, and in July when protesters entered the office following the fatal shooting of Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero by an ICE agent. Additionally, Collins' home in Bangor was previously egged.
Chief of Staff Katie Brown described the tactics as "disturbing, but not effective," stating that staff remain undeterred. Democratic challenger Troy Jackson condemned the acts, asserting that "vandalism and intimidation are wrong, full stop." The Biddeford Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
