UK Government Adjusts Pension Payments and Issues Energy Credits
The Government of the United Kingdom is adjusting State Pension payment dates for August bank holidays and distributing £150 Warm Home Discount energy credits.
The Government of the United Kingdom is coordinating several financial disbursements for state pensioners under the administration of Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Chancellor John Healey. The government is overseeing the 2026-27 Warm Home Discount, which provides automatic one-off energy bill credits of £150 to eligible customers, including those receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit.
Simultaneously, the Department for Work and Pensions is adjusting State Pension schedules to account for August summer bank holidays. Pensioners in Scotland whose payments fall on Monday, August 3, will receive funds on Friday, July 31, with maximum payments reaching £965.20 for those with a full new State Pension. Pensioners in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland with payments due on Monday, August 31, will instead be paid on Friday, August 28.
