Trump Promises Cash Payouts and Claims Victory Over Iran

President Donald Trump promised stimulus payments to voters and claimed the U.S. military campaign against Iran has devastated the country's military infrastructure.

President Donald Trump announced at a campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia, that the U.S. military campaign against Iran is nearing its end. Trump claimed American operations destroyed 289 aircraft and sank 159 naval vessels within three days, asserting that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons. He also stated that a previous intervention in Venezuela secured U.S. access to billions of dollars in petroleum resources.

Ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, Trump implemented several financial measures to secure voter support. These include a $90 rebate for tens of millions of Medicare Part B recipients and $500 payments to nearly one million Americans insured under the Affordable Care Act across 30 states. He further promised a $5,000 payment to every adult American citizen if Republicans retain control of both the House and Senate, an initiative estimated to cost $1 trillion.

To combat high diesel prices, the administration reached a deal to import millions of barrels of fuel from the Russian government. This move faces opposition from some Republicans and Democrats who argue it violates federal bans on Russian energy imports. These domestic efforts occur amid low public approval and regional instability, including recent attacks on Saudi Arabia by Houthi allies of Iran. Trump also claimed his administration reached a deal with Denmark regarding Greenland.
