No Kings Coalition Holds 3,000 Rallies to Boost Early Voting

The No Kings coalition organized over 3,000 nationwide events on October 17 to encourage early voting and protest the policies of President Donald Trump.

The No Kings coalition coordinated more than 3,000 nonpartisan events across all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., on October 17, 2026. The mobilization, termed No Kings: Vote Early, aimed to make the day the largest single day of early voting in U.S. history to prevent potential election sabotage and reduce voter intimidation ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

While organizers framed the events as nonpartisan voter education efforts, the movement grew from a broader opposition to the second term of President Donald Trump. Rallies ranged from music festivals in Los Angeles and a march to the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., to superhero-themed gatherings in Texas and dog walks in Colorado. In Maine, the events took a more partisan tone, with Democratic candidates criticizing Senator Susan Collins and President Trump over healthcare and immigration.

Participants expressed concerns regarding inflation, reproductive rights, and federal immigration raids. In response, White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis dismissed the protests, framing the election as a choice between Republican commonsense policies and radical socialist Democratic policies.

The demonstrations occurred amid heightened legal tensions. The Trump administration sued California officials to block the counting of ballots from suspected noncitizens, while the United States Department of Justice warned local officials of criminal prosecution for processing such ballots.
