Donald Trump Clashes With Reporter Over Fraud Initiative

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance confronted a White House correspondent during an Oval Office event announcing a new government fraud initiative.

Donald Trump clashed with reporters during an Oval Office event on Tuesday while announcing a new government fraud initiative. The exchange turned tense when Andrew Feinberg, a White House correspondent for The Independent, questioned why the proposed whistleblower program offers a 1% commission, noting that the False Claims Act allows for 10% to 25%.

Trump responded to the inquiry by telling Feinberg, "I don't know who the hell you are, but you better be careful." Vice President JD Vance defended the administration's proposal, characterizing the question as "fundamentally dishonest" and arguing that the vast majority of federal fraud is not covered by the False Claims Act.

The confrontation escalated further when Feinberg attempted to ask about the president's golf courses. Trump asked the reporter, "Are you a sick person?" and told him to be quiet. Following the event, Vance posted footage of the encounter on X, describing Feinberg as an "imbecile 'journalist'" who misbehaved in the Oval Office.
