Ohanaeze Ndigbo Endorses Tinubu and Adeola for 2027 Elections

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Ogun State endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Senator Solomon Adeola for the 2027 elections, citing infrastructure development and inclusive governance.

The Ogun State chapter of the pan-Igbo sociocultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reelection in 2027 and supported the governorship bid of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola. During a visit to Adeola's residence in Ilaro on Sunday, the group's state president, Eze Stephen Okorie, announced the endorsement and bestowed the chieftaincy title of Dike Eji Eje Mba upon the senator.

Okorie cited Adeola's contributions to road construction and market infrastructure, as well as the necessity of addressing the political marginalization of Ogun West, as the primary drivers for the support. The organization also declared its backing for all All Progressives Congress candidates within the state. A formal installation ceremony for the chieftaincy title is scheduled to take place in Abeokuta at the end of October.

Senator Adeola responded by emphasizing a political approach based on inclusion and the delivery of good governance for all residents regardless of ethnicity, tribe, or religion. He stated that infrastructure projects like schools and hospitals are intended for the benefit of all law-abiding Nigerians doing business in Ogun State.
