Jensen Huang Mandates Total AI Automation at Nvidia

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang ordered employees to automate every possible task with AI, dismissing managers who cautioned against the technology's use.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang mandated that employees automate every possible task using artificial intelligence during a series of internal all-hands meetings in late November 2025. Huang reacted sharply to reports that some managers had advised staff to limit their AI usage, asking, "Are you insane?" He directed workers to utilize AI tools, such as the coding assistant Cursor, even when they are not fully functional to help improve the technology.

Addressing concerns over job displacement, Huang promised staff that their roles remain secure and that AI will augment roles rather than replace them. He argued that AI will change the nature of work and potentially make employees busier by allowing for more projects. This push comes as Nvidia continues to expand; the workforce grew from 29,600 at the end of fiscal 2024 to approximately 36,000 by fiscal 2025, with Huang estimating the company is still 10,000 employees short of its needs.

Speaking at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington DC, Huang contrasted his view with that of Elon Musk, who suggested work might one day become optional. Huang maintained that AI enhances efficiency and productivity, citing radiologists as an example of professionals who can process more data through the technology. This internal directive aligns with similar AI-adoption trends at Microsoft, Google, and Meta, despite recent AI-driven layoffs at Amazon.
