Senate Majority PAC Raises Record 151 Million Dollars
Senate Majority PAC raised a record 151 million dollars in the third quarter but still faces a 400 million dollar spending gap against Republicans.
The Senate Majority PAC, the primary super PAC supporting Senate Democrats, raised a record 151 million dollars in the third quarter. When including its affiliated nonprofit arm, the organization brought in a total of 202 million dollars, ending the period with nearly 112 million dollars in cash.
Despite these record-breaking figures, Democratic outside groups face a significant financial disadvantage. Republican super PACs and party groups have outspent them by more than 400 million dollars in Senate races. This gap is largely driven by funding from groups aligned with Donald Trump and Elon Musk. In Texas, Republicans have spent nearly 200 million dollars to support Ken Paxton in his race against James Talarico.
Democratic candidates have generally out-raised their Republican rivals, but leadership at the Senate Majority PAC warns that the Republican financial edge could overwhelm these advantages through a paid media blitz. J.B. Poersch, head of the PAC, defended the group's spending efficiency, stating that Republicans do not get as much out of their dollar as Democrats do.
