Rahul Gandhi Blames Systemic Failure for Indian Exam Leaks

Rahul Gandhi addressed students in Prayagraj, alleging that 152 paper leaks occurred over the last decade with zero convictions for the perpetrators.

Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha leader of opposition and Congress MP, visited Prayagraj on August 8 to lead the Chhatron Ki Goonj programme at KP Ground. Addressing a crowd of students and job aspirants, he focused on the rising costs of education, employment shortages, and systemic examination paper leaks.

Gandhi alleged that 152 paper leaks have occurred over the past decade, affecting approximately 7.5 crore students. He claimed the conviction rate for these crimes is zero and argued that high technology is being used to facilitate these leaks. He told students that the fault lies in the intent of a system that fails to reward their hard work.

The event took place amid local tension, as posters criticizing Gandhi regarding student protests in Jharkhand appeared across the city. Through this outreach, the Indian National Congress is demanding a comprehensive overhaul of the education system and greater government accountability for recruitment irregularities and delays.
