Nvidia Corporation Denies Reported Delay of Kyber AI Rack System

Nvidia Corporation maintains its product roadmap after reports suggested manufacturing issues could delay the Kyber NVL144 AI rack system until 2028.

Reports from SemiAnalysis suggest that Nvidia Corporation may delay the release of its Kyber NVL144 next-generation AI rack system until 2028. The potential setback is attributed to manufacturing difficulties involving a critical circuit board. The Kyber system is designed for AI data centers and includes specialized variants tailored for inference and agentic AI.

Nvidia Corporation responded to these claims by stating its product roadmap remains intact. Under the strategy of CEO Jensen Huang, the company has shifted its focus from selling individual GPUs to designing comprehensive server rack systems.

Market analysts indicate that a delay could provide an opening for competitors to capture share in the high-end AI market. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is attempting to gain ground through chiplet designs, improvements to its ROCm platform, and the acquisition of Mext. Alphabet Inc. is also positioned as a competitor, offering Tensor Processing Units as cost-efficient alternatives for customers requiring optimized training and inference systems.
