Turhan Mildon Marries Alina Habba Amid Venezuelan Business Dispute

Turkish investor Turhan Mildon married former Trump lawyer Alina Habba as Venezuela's interim leader paused the revocation of Mildon's state business contracts.

Turkish investor Turhan Mildon married Alina Habba, a former personal lawyer for President Donald Trump, in September 2026 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The marriage coincides with a shift in Mildon's business standing in Venezuela, where he operated state-owned cement and shrimp enterprises.

Following the U.S.-led capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in January 2026, interim leader Delcy Rodríguez initially ordered the revocation of Mildon's cement contracts, citing failed investment targets. However, Rodríguez reportedly paused the order after Mildon began dating Habba, who is known to maintain high-level access to the Trump administration.

Mildon has a history of operating as a back-channel intermediary between Washington and Caracas, having previously built ties with Maduro confidant Alex Saab. He also served as an adviser to President Félix Tshisekedi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

White House officials and Habba have denied that she used her influence to discuss her husband's business dealings with the administration. Habba stated that she has never been involved with the White House on behalf of her husband, nor would he ask her to do so.
