APC Elders Reject 2027 Coalition in Ondo State

The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum rejected a proposed Rainbow Coalition, asserting the APC can win all constituencies in Ondo State independently in 2027.

The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum (PMF) declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not require a coalition arrangement for the 2027 general elections. During a meeting in Akure, the forum specifically distanced itself from a proposed Rainbow Coalition, arguing that such alliances are only necessary for parties with limited electoral strength.

Forum chairman Demola Ijabiyi stated that the APC's current dominance at the state and local government levels makes surrendering candidates or constituencies unnecessary. Ijabiyi cited the declining strength of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a primary reason for the APC to maintain its independent electoral interests.

The forum established a target of at least one million votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and an 80 percent voter turnout within the state. The group is now shifting its focus toward grassroots mobilization across every ward and polling unit to secure victory for all APC candidates.
