APC Recruits 4.4 Million Officials for Tinubu Re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a massive grassroots mobilization effort to secure a second term for President Bola Tinubu. During a national retreat in Abuja, the party announced the recruitment of 4,421,150 polling unit officials. This strategy assigns 25 canvassers to each of Nigeria's 176,846 polling units to create a unified campaign machinery.

Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), led the announcement. The RHA also introduced a digital platform designed to monitor public sentiment and combat misinformation. Party leadership intends to translate the administration's economic reforms, such as fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange adjustments, into human narratives to gain voter support.

To support the campaign, the APC is citing positive economic indicators, including a 3.89 percent GDP growth in the first quarter of 2026 and a $20 billion investment commitment from Shell. National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya emphasized that these statistics must be communicated through people to be effective in winning the 2027 elections.
