JD Vance Accuses Israeli Officials of Sabotaging Iran Peace Deal

Vice President JD Vance alleged that members of the Israeli government funded a digital influence campaign to manipulate American public opinion and prolong the war with Iran.

Vice President JD Vance alleged during an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience that elements within the Israeli government funded a discreet influence campaign to derail U.S. negotiations and a ceasefire agreement with Iran. Vance cited a Time magazine report indicating that Brad Parscale, a former Trump campaign manager, was linked to a $45 million Israeli-funded operation that paid conservative influencers to attack the peace deal and advocate for an indefinite military campaign. Parscale denied the allegations, stating there is "not a single shred of evidence" that he acted against the administration.

These accusations coincide with the collapse of an interim peace agreement and the launch of "Operation Epic Fury," a series of U.S. military strikes. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated these strikes were a response to Iran breaching a memorandum of understanding by firing on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. While Leavitt confirmed that President Donald Trump agrees that foreign countries attempt to influence U.S. public opinion, she emphasized that Trump and Vance remain fully aligned on Iran policy.

Separately, the Government of Iran claimed it privately warned Vance via intermediaries in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland, and Pakistani mediators that officials Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were undermining talks for financial gain. The White House categorically denied these claims, with spokeswoman Anna Kelly stating "no such message was ever transmitted to the United States." Amidst these diplomatic tensions, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected a measure to cut billions of dollars in aid to Israel in a 314-104 vote.
