India and UAE Expand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
India and the United Arab Emirates are scaling up investment, trade, and cultural ties through high-level diplomatic exchanges in Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.
India and the United Arab Emirates are expanding their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership through a series of high-level diplomatic engagements focused on economic and regional stability. During an official visit to Abu Dhabi on November 2, 2026, Vikram Misri, the Indian Foreign Secretary, met with UAE Minister of State Reem Al Hashimy to review bilateral ties and discuss stability in West Asia.
Misri held separate meetings with Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, to increase investment flows and commercial partnerships, and Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, to advance the proposed House of India project.
These discussions follow a recent visit to Mumbai by UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During that engagement, he and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized deepening cooperation across trade, energy, technology, and defense sectors.
