Donald Trump Visits Wheeler High School Amid Local Protests

Donald Trump visited Wheeler High School on Wednesday to address a crowd of more than 5,000 people. While supporters filled the school's gymnasium and parking lot, over 100 protesters assembled across the street at Eastvalley Elementary School to object to the visit.

The opposition included Democratic lawmakers and members of the No Kings movement. Protesters criticized the administration's policies and targeted Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale for permitting the event on school grounds. Despite verbal confrontations between the two groups, no violence occurred.

Following the visit, the Cobb County Democratic Committee announced plans for further demonstrations at a Board of Education meeting in Marietta. The organization seeks to challenge Superintendent Ragsdale and the school board over the decision to host the president.
