Nvidia Corp. Prepares Fiscal 2027 Earnings Amid AI Agent Growth

Nvidia Corp. will release its fiscal 2027 second-quarter earnings after the market closes on August 26. Investors are primarily focused on updates from CEO Jensen Huang regarding projected sales of $1 trillion from Blackwell and Vera Rubin graphics processing units between 2025 and 2027.

While the data center division remains the main revenue driver, with Wall Street estimating nearly $368 billion in revenue for fiscal 2027, the company is expanding its central processing unit business. Huang identified a $200 billion total addressable market for the Vera CPU designed for agentic AI, with Nvidia Corp. expecting $20 billion in CPU revenue this year.

This shift is driven by the increasing role of CPUs in performing autonomous tasks for AI agents. Lip-Bu Tan of Intel Corporation supported this trend, noting that the CPU-to-GPU ratio for AI inference has shifted from 1:8 to 1:4.
