Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger Visits India
Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger visits India from October 27 to November 2 to strengthen the Enhanced Partnership and discuss strategic security.
Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, will conduct an official visit to India from October 27 to November 2. The diplomatic mission begins in New Delhi on Wednesday with talks alongside India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar at Hyderabad House, followed by a series of events in Jaipur from October 29 to November 2.
This visit builds on recent efforts to advance the Enhanced Partnership between the two nations. On October 6, Austria's National Security Advisor Peter Vorhofer met with India's Secretary (West) Sibi George to coordinate on strategic security and counter-terrorism measures.
Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker recently praised India's economic growth and described the country as a strong partner to both Austria and the European Union. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has similarly expressed a desire to further strengthen bilateral ties.
