Godswill Akpabio Defends Tinubu Administration's Security Record

Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated on Wednesday that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is actively working to resolve Nigeria's insecurity challenges. Speaking during a visit by the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria at the National Assembly, Akpabio claimed the president is giving the situation his utmost attention. He cited the recent release of abducted schoolchildren in Oyo State as evidence of the government's progress.

Akpabio dismissed social media reports regarding the country's security as inaccurate reflections of reality. He assured the public that the current administration's efforts would eventually make insecurity a thing of the past.

During the meeting, the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria's National President, Dr. Lima Ahmed, decorated Akpabio as the association's Grand Patron. She invited him to an upcoming international ladies' tournament at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja, an event for which Akpabio pledged the support of the Senate.
