President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Address Nigeria's 66th Independence

Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7 a.m. to commemorate Nigeria's 66th Independence anniversary.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced the schedule on Wednesday. The Presidency directed television, radio, and other electronic media organizations to use the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria to transmit the address.
