Netanyahu Warns Israel of Potential End to U.S. Military Aid

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the end of U.S. military assistance is inevitable and ordered plans to bypass potential economic sanctions.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Friday that the end of United States military assistance to Israel is only a matter of time, stating that the U.S. has changed. While the U.S. government has not announced a formal decision, Netanyahu told Channel 10 that Israel must prepare for the loss of tens of billions of dollars in defense aid, which has historically been provided under a 2016 pact worth $38 billion.

Netanyahu revealed he has requested a plan to explore alternative financial mechanisms, including blockchain technology, to bypass potential economic and banking sanctions. These warnings come four days before Israel's parliamentary elections.

Opposition leader Yair Golan criticized the remarks, arguing that the government should focus on combating Jewish terrorism and preserving strategic alliances to prevent sanctions. Golan called for a new government that excludes Netanyahu and ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Aryeh Deri.
