Donald Trump Casts Early Vote and Campaigns for Midterms

President Donald Trump cast an early midterm ballot in Florida before campaigning in Georgia and defending Republican candidates and election challenges.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump cast early ballots for the midterm elections on October 24 at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office in West Palm Beach, Florida. Following the vote, Trump traveled to Perry, Georgia, to campaign for U.S. Senate candidate Mike Collins and gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson, urging supporters to vote for Republicans in every race.

During his campaign stops, Trump characterized the midterms as a referendum on his presidency and described Democratic opponents as "corrupt." He defended a controversial campaign advertisement used by Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, a position echoed by Vice President JD Vance during a rally in Ohio. Trump also addressed the administration's efforts to block the certification of Alaska's U.S. Senate race, citing the presence of two candidates named Dan Sullivan as "pure corruption."

On foreign policy, Trump stated that the United States would either continue its military campaign in Iran or reach an agreement, asserting that "Either way, we win." Meanwhile, Trump praised Melania Trump for brokering a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine for the city of Oleshky, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday. The First Lady also discussed potential travel to Ukraine following her role in facilitating humanitarian aid and civilian evacuations.
