Xi Jinping Visits Egypt to Promote Global Civilization Initiative

Xi Jinping, President of China, is visiting Egypt to strengthen bilateral relations and promote the Global Civilization Initiative. The diplomatic mission arrives during a period of heightened geopolitical conflict in the Middle East and seeks to provide fresh impetus to the partnership between the two nations.

China and Egypt recently marked the 70th anniversary of their bilateral ties in May. President Xi and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi have emphasized a shared mission focused on peace, development, and justice. The two leaders maintain strategic convergence regarding the support of a multipolar world order, the reform of global governance, and the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.

During the visit, President Xi is promoting the Global Civilization Initiative, which encourages inclusiveness and mutual learning. He stated that different civilizations should respect each other and live in harmony to create a bridge promoting friendship and a bond cementing world peace.
