Israeli Forces Kill Nearly 100 Palestinians After Gaza Ceasefire

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that took effect around October 10, 2025, remains fragile as reports emerge of continued lethal operations. The Cabinet of Israel is accused of killing between 80 and 97 Palestinians since the truce, including a tank attack in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood that killed 11 members of one family. Total fatalities in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, have risen to approximately 68,280, with medical sources noting that thousands more may have died indirectly from famine and disease.

Humanitarian conditions have collapsed, with 90 percent of the population displaced. In cities like Khan Younis, families are camping in graveyards due to the destruction of 80 percent of all structures. The International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must allow humanitarian aid, stating starvation cannot be used as a method of warfare; however, the United Nations reports that fewer than 100 aid trucks enter daily, far below the 600 required by the ceasefire.

Legally, the International Criminal Court rejected an Israeli appeal to cancel arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Meanwhile, the International Committee of the Red Cross coordinated the return of 30 Palestinian bodies, some showing signs of abuse. Diplomatic tensions persist as the United States expresses concern that Israel may vacate the ceasefire deal, while Hamas is accused of executing alleged collaborators and obstructing a transition to technocratic governance.
